The new bracers, tentatively named Drakon’s Lesson, gives a unique buff to Shield Bash damage IF used on 3 or less targets. However, the Shield Bash archetype also received another gift in the form of legendary bracers. These changes would seem, at least on paper, to allow Roland’s set to contend with other gear options. The 6 set bonus looks to be unchanged, still offering a massive 100% attack speed increase. The X% was increased from 100% to 500%, and the bonus is now multiplicative. The 4 set bonus was increased by a massive amount. The new 2 set ability allows for laws and defensive skills like iron skin to be up 100% of the time. This effect stacks up to 5 times.Īt first glance, the huge buffs should be obvious. – Every use of Shield Bash or Sweep Attack that hits an enemy grants 20% increased Attack Speed for 3 seconds. – Increases Sweep Attack Damage by 500% (Crusader Only)* – Increases Shield Bash Damage by 500% (Crusader Only)* – Every use of Shield Bash and Sweep Attack reduces the cooldown of your Laws and Defensive Skills by 1 second* With the problems in mind, let’s look at the new Roland’s Set: The insane set bonuses from Akhan’s blow Roland’s out of the water. Simply put, the numbers are not high enough. Roland’s Set was introduced to foster a shield bash centered build for Crusaders. With that in mind, Blizzard seems to be making an attempt to fix the problem by revamping the less used gear sets with the Crusader specifically, it is Roland’s set. ![]() While there are multiple builds that are viable to clear T6 rifts and mid-level grifts, they are all dependent on the Akhan’s 6-piece set bonus. However, one of the key complaints is the lack of gear diversity.
